JOHN STRAUBE, Ph.D., ing. | RDH Building Science
John Straube, Ph.D., P.Eng., is a Principal at RDH Building Science, where he conducts scientific investigations, assists with the design of new high performance buildings, and leads research projects in the areas of low-energy building design, building enclosure performance, hygrothermal analysis, and field performance monitoring. Dr. Straube is also a cross-appointed faculty member in the School of Architecture and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He is the author or co-author of over 100 published technical papers, author of the book High Performance Enclosures and co-author, with Eric Burnett, of Building Science for Building Enclosures.
KIM PHAM, DPLG, OAQ, OAA, MRAIC | NEUF architect(e)s
A partner at NEUF architect(e)s since 2020, Kim practiced as a government-endorsed architect (architecte DPLG) in France for nearly 10 years before moving to Montréal in 2010. Her solid expertise in the planning and development of residential projects has been demonstrated through her involvement in large-scale projects such as Le Peterson, Le 628 Saint-Jacques, Le Solstice and, soon, Le Sherbrooke in downtown Montréal, as well as numerous buildings in the Outaouais region in collaboration with Groupe Lépine, a leader in the real estate industry. Kim is particularly interested in developing technically relevant details related to the concept and their implementation on the construction site. She also focuses on the environmental dimension and its practical application in the construction industry. Eager to learn and share her knowledge, Kim actively contributes to the training of colleagues, particularly in the context of BIM processes. She regularly collaborates with the Université de Montréal as part of courses and workshop critiques. Her projects have been awarded with numerous awards and featured in press articles.
